"An exhibit titled "Reliefs, Sculptures, and Assemblages" by Jane Gennaro of New York is on display in Westover School's Joachim Schumacher Gallery through Nov. 23. The guest curator for the exhibit is Ann Clark Priftis, a member of Westover's Class of 1996, who is a professional art dealer.
As guest curator, Priftis selected Gennaro as the exhibiting artist, working both with the artist and Michael Gallagher, Westover's director of exhibitions, to set up the show in the gallery."

What Weekly: Clark Priftis Art Gallery Grand Opening

"Friday night was the canvas on which Clark Priftis Art's grand opening in Harbor East's Legg Mason building was splashed with the color of so many supporters and innovators of the Baltimore Renaissance. The place was bursting with flavor from artists Amanda Brisbane, Steven Colucci, Jane Genarro, Abby Modell, Nicole Salzano and Daniel Stuelpnagel and enhanced by the sensual, electronic sounds of local IDM favorites, The Megadrives."

Event Recap: ArtHamptons Opening Night Gala

"What tops a beautiful day in the Hamptons? Why, a wonderful event in the evening of course! I attended the ArtHamptons Opening Night Gala to preview $200 million worth of spectacular art featuring 64 nationally renowned galleries who sell a rich assemblage of museum-caliber art from the 20th and 21st centuries. The fair provides local, national and international collectors with a rare summer opportunity to purchase significant paintings, sculptures, drawings, photography and prints.
Ann Priftis from Clark Priftis Gallery was a delight as she hosted art from LLe-Dom, a new line of luxurious contemporary art glass Michael McLaughlin's penguin sculptures created by Abby Modell."

"There's a vast, dynamic world of fine art out there," Ann emphasized, "that's accessible to everyone on some level — you don't need to be an 'artsy' or 'creative' person to be involved in the art world. A strong foundation in art history, like the one provided by Westover, is the very best base on which to build a future in the art world.

Collector's Forum: An Interview with Ann Clark Priftis

"Insiders want fine art to remain mysterious, highbrow, and elitist. At the same time, smart galleries and dealers know that the art world must be accessible to people in order to insure its future. My philosophy on this is to educate the masses."
